Each year on the first Sunday of December, the chapter hosts a Victorian Tea and Open House.
The members are dressed in period attire, welcoming guests at the front door as docents describe each room of the house, while treats are served in the lower level.
It is a worthwhile visit even if you've attended before.
Each year on Memorial Weekend, the chapter lays a wreath of remembrance in Veterans Memorial Plaza on East Market Street. It is open to the public and attended by veterans, Indiana legislators, and the New Albany Mayor.

Elementary school children's tours are conducted each summer. A chapter member sets up a schedule, and docents conduct the tours.
Each year in the Fall, the chapter participates in the Homecoming Parade and sets up a tent in front of Scribner House to sell souvenirs and persimmon pudding, made by the members.

The chapter conducts regular events at the Fairview Cemetery in New Albany and the Old Smith Cemetery in Georgetown, Indiana.
When Joel, Abner, and Nathaniel Scribner founded New Albany, IN, in 1813, they set aside a plot of land for a burial ground. That became Fairview Cemetery, where the three Scribner brothers are interred.
Friends of Fairview is a volunteer run non-profit organization, in New Albany, IN, dedicated to preserving our beloved Fairview Cemetery and to keeping its stories alive.
The Old Smith Cemetery is a rustic, fenced-in cemetery located on a hill in a grove of trees on a small, private farm.
The chapter dedicates gravestones, performs historical playlets in Fairview, and does cemetery clean-ups.
